The impressive 52-story Harbour Hotel and Residence is now under Marriott International management under the terms of an agreement reached between the Emirates Airline and Group. Ownership will still remain with the Emirates Airline and Group.
The hotel will be renamed to reflect the new management and will be known as the Dubai Marriott Harbor Hotel and Suites. With the revitalization ongoing, the finished hotel will have 232 rooms available later this year. The current occupancy rate for the past year has been an impressive 76% and according to Tim Clark, the president of Emirates Airlines, already has a “firm financial base.”
Marriott International also reached an agreement earlier this year to manage the JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai, a 1614 room hotel that is nearing completion in Business Bay. The Emirate Group believes that these two agreements will continue to attract leisure and business travelers to Dubai Marina and Business Bay.
